What are the types of thermostatic radiator valve actuators that are popular today?
Traditional radiator valve is a manual valve(non-thermostatic), which can only switch radiator on or off and works like a tap. While thermostatic radiator valve can set temperature to a specific range. Thermostatic radiator valve heads have a numbered dial, usually from 0 to 5, with each number corresponding to a temperature range, typically 10-30℃.
In contrast, Beok thermostatic radiator valve actuator combines room thermostat and thermostatic valve heads. ZigBee Protocol
Once connected to the ZigBee 3.0 wireless gateway hub, you can intelligently control our TRV actuators via Tuya or Smartlife application. If you have other ZigBee devices and you already have a ZigBee gateway, then you do not need to seperately buy a gateway any more.

Do I need an extra room thermostat to connect with the TRV?
No! You can directly set a room temperature value which you want on the TRV actuator, and TRV actuator will adjust and control the room temperature according to your set temperature.
Beok TRV actuator do the same job as a room thermostat, so you don't need both.
How does the thermostatic radiator valve actuator work?
Thermostatic radiator valve combines a room thermostat and a valve actuator. Some people also call it thermostatic radiator valve head. You can set a temperature on the TRV actuator, and it works like a thermostat. According to your set temperature, the TRV actuator will work to open or close the radiator valve. When the room temperature is lower than the set temperature, the spring of the TRV actuator will shrink, allowing the pin inside the valve to lift up to let hot water to enter the radiator, thus warming the room. When the room temperature reach the set temperature, the spring of the TRV actatuor will expand to press the valve pin to close the valve, then stop any flow going into the radiator.

At first, our TRV actuars are powered with battery. So you do no have troubles with wiring. You can directly screw the actuator on the radiator valve body.
At the meanwhile, the display direction of our TRV actuator screen is adjustable. You can change the display direction according to your installation direction.
