What Is A Room Thermostat?

 

A room thermostat is used to monitor, control and maintain a comfortable temperature in your home. It works by turning on or off your heating or air conditioning systems as the temperature varies throughout the day, to achieve the purpose of constant indoor temperature. For example, in the underfloor heating system, you can set a desired temperature on a room thermostat, if the room temperature drops below the temperature, then the temperature sensor in the room thermostat can be made to triggle to activate the boiler's switch. The hot water will flow to the water manifolds, then seperately flow to underfloor water pipes to heat every rooms in your home. If the room temperature raise above the set temperature, the room thermostat will turn off the underfloor heating system so that your home will cool down to the desired temperature again.

 

According to different applications, room thermostats are divided into Underfloor Heating Room Thermostats, Gas Boiler Room Thermostats, Air Conditioning Room Thermostats.

 

Types of Room Thermostats

Mechanical room thermostat

Mechanical room thermostat is a traditional home temperature control equipment, using mechanical units to control room temperature. Compared to electronic thermostats, mechanical room thermostats do not require any electrical input and can be activated by turning the dial to the desired temperature. There is no complex control panel, with simple to use, low price, intuitive operation and so on.

This can avoid energy waste caused by too high or too low temperature, maximize energy saving and reduce environmental pollution. Programmable room thermostat

A programmable thermostat is more advanced than a general digital room thermostat, and it uses advanced control algorithms and programs to achieve accurate temperature regulation and control. Programmable thermostats are typically microprocessor controlled and have multiple programmable outputs that can be customized for different temperature control needs. The thermostat can be programmed to set different temperatures at different times of the day. For example, after you go to work at 8:30 am, you may want your house at a low temperature to save energy, such as 15℃, but when you come back home from work at 5:30 pm, you can set the temperature of your house at 22℃.

Temperature Calibration

Because of the effect of different latitude, the temperature measured by your room thermostat may be slightly different from the temperature measured by the thermometer, you can use the calibration function to correct it. 

Temperature Accurancy

Temperature accurancy means thermostat activated temperature difference. The minimum value of our room thermostat temperature accurancy is 0.5℃. This function can protect heating equipments and extend their working life.    

Window Opening Detection

When the window opening detection is turned on, if the room temperature drops by 6 °C within 4 minutes, then window opening mode will be triggered, the thermostat will stop heating.

Keylock Function

To prevent children's operation, or thermostats are used in a public area, you can use the keylock function to prevent misoperation. 

Memory Function

In case of power failure, our room thermostats can memory the setting and programming data.
