Common reasons and solutions for WiFi connection failure

The failure of Beok smart WiFi thermostat to connect to the mobile phone APP may be caused by a variety of factors. The following are common reasons and solutions:
1. WiFi and network problems
• 5GHz WiFi is not supported: Beok smart thermostats only support 2.4GHz WiFi. Please make sure that the phone and thermostat are connected to the same 2.4GHz WiFi network.
• Weak or unstable WiFi signal: The WiFi thermostat should be close to the router to avoid interference from walls or electronic devices.
• Router setting problem: Make sure the WiFi password is correct, it is best not to use spaces and special characters, and turn off MAC address filtering, AP isolation mode or WPA3 encryption, and change to WPA2-PSK (AES).
• Network delay or instability: Try restarting the router and make sure that the home network connection is normal.
2. Wrong network configuration method
• The correct network configuration mode is not selected: Beok smart thermostats usually support "Quick Network Configuration (Bluetooth Mode)" and "AP Hotspot Mode". If one method fails, you can try the other.
• Failure to enter the network configuration mode as instructed: Different Beok room thermostat has different steps to enter the WiFi network configuration status, please operte it according to manual, when thermostat entered configuration status, the WiFi icon on thermostat screen flashes quickly (Bluetooth mode) or slowly (AP mode).
3. Mobile APP problem
• APP does not authorize necessary permissions: Some APPs require "location permissions" and "Bluetooth permissions" to scan WiFi networks. Please make sure that they are authorized.
• APP version is too old: Check whether there is a new version of APP, such as Tuya Smart, Smart Life, Beok Home, etc. It is recommended to update to the latest version.
• APP server failure: Some APPs need to connect to the cloud server. When the server is abnormal, you may not be able to add devices. You can try again later.
4. Device compatibility issues
• APP does not match the device: Make sure to use the officially recommended APP for network configuration. Different models may use different APPs (such as Tuya Smart/Smart Life, Beok Home, or Beok AC APP, etc.).
• Device firmware is too old: If the device supports OTA updates, check whether there is the latest firmware update before trying to connect.

5. Other possible factors
• Too many devices connected to the same WiFi: Some routers have a maximum connection limit. It is recommended to disconnect some devices before trying to configure the network.
• Mobile data network interference: During the network configuration process, it is recommended to turn off the mobile data (4G/5G) of the mobile phone and use only WiFi for connection.
• Try to change the mobile phone or router: Sometimes compatibility issues of the mobile phone or router may cause connection failure. You can try to use another mobile phone or change the router for testing.
If the above methods still fail, it is recommended that you contact Beok after-sales center and provide detailed WiFi environment and device information for further troubleshooting.
