Difference between no actuator and nc actuator

Sep 19, 2024

The thermal actuators are applied to control the opening and closing of small valves and branches of manifold.

It can control the water flow in water heating system.

Classification of actuators:

The actuator includes two categories: normally open actuator(NO actuator) and normally closed actuator(NC actuator).

How does the thermostat control the operation of the actuator?

The normally open actuator is usually in open state, water flow can pass through the valve. Connect it to the "N" and "Close" of the thermostat. When the thermostat detects that the indoor temperature is lower than the set temperature, the thermostat will control hot water to pass through the valve, and the actuator is in normal open state. When the indoor temperature is higher than the set temperature, the thermostat will send a close signal to the actuator to prevent water flow from passing through.

The normally closed actuator is usually closed. Connect to the "N" and "Open" of the thermostat. When the temperature controller detects that the room temperature is below the set temperature, it will send an open signal to the actuator to allow hot water to pass through the pipeline.

According to different product classifications, BEOK CONTROLS have developed different types of actuators for buyers to choose from. For example: RZ-AN230-NO and RZ-AN230-NC.

Size of actuator:

The size of the actuator refers to the internal thread size, and the conventional size is M30*1.5. A small number of people require a size of M28 * 1.5.

The actuator size of the BEOK CONTROLS company is M30 * 1.5, which meets the needs of most people. The dimensions of RZ-AN230-NO and RZ-AN230-NC are also M30 * 1.5.
