What are the components of water underfloor heating system?
Feb 10, 2025
The water heating system is an important part of modern house heating.
This system includes many different parts, each with its own function. Here is a detailed introduction to the main parts of the water underfloor heating system:
1. Heat source equipment
Boiler: This is the core of the water heating system and is responsible for heating water. According to the fuel type, it can be divided into gas boiler, oil boiler, electric boiler, etc.
Heat pump: It uses the heat energy in the environment to heat water and is an efficient and energy-saving heat source equipment.
2. Pipeline system
Main pipe: Delivers hot water generated by the heat source equipment to each room.
Water distributor: Distributes the hot water in the main pipe to each branch to achieve independent control of different rooms.
Floor heating pipe or radiator: Hot water dissipates heat through pipes or radiators to increase the indoor temperature.
3. Control system
Thermostat: Controls the switch of the heat source equipment according to the set temperature to automatically adjust the room temperature.
Circulation pump: Promotes the circulation of hot water in the system to ensure that each room can be evenly heated.
Safety valve: When the system pressure is too high, it automatically releases the pressure to protect the system safety.
Expansion water tank: Compensates for the thermal expansion of water in the system to prevent pipe bursts.
4. Other auxiliary components
Filter: Filters impurities in the water to protect the system.
Exhaust valve: Exhaust air from the system to improve heating efficiency.
Beok is a professional manufacture of controllers for over 15 years, our mainly products for water heating system, include water underfloor heating control thermostat, gas boiler heating control thermostat, thermal actuators, motorized valves and hub controllers:
Working principle of water heating system:
The working principle of water heating system is relatively simple: the heat source equipment heats water, and the hot water is transported to each room through pipes, and then the heat is dissipated through the floor heating pipes or radiators to increase the indoor temperature. The thermostat controls the switch of the heat source equipment according to the set temperature to automatically adjust the room temperature. The circulation pump continuously sends the cooled water back to the heat source equipment for heating, forming a closed loop.
Tips: Since the water heating system involves multiple components and a complex installation process, it is recommended that you consult professionals when purchasing and installing.
