Thermostat surface mounting back box is for installing thermostat on the wall. It suitable for almost all type thermostats. There are two installation types for choose:

If there is a hole reserved on your wall for thermostat installation, then you can choos emmedded(inserted) installation method;

If there is no reserved hole and you do not want to dig a hole on the wall, then you can choose hung-mounted installation method;
